Obituary

Melvin B. Loveless, 44, of Del City passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Melvin was born on April 9, 1978 in Olongapo City, Philippines to Gordon Loveless and Mellie Buncalan.

From the age of 3, Melvin was raised in Mountain View, California where his father was stationed at the naval air station. In 1992 his family moved to Norman, Oklahoma where Melvin attended Norman Public Schools and was active in wrestling and football. After high school, Melvin went to work at Bob Moore Chrysler as a Lot Porter until he moved to the Phoenix area where he had various jobs.

Melvin was a proud father of two children, Jonathon and Jessica Loveless, and he loved them dearly. He did his best to show them he cared. Melvin was a hard worker and liked to work with his hands. Most recently he did yard maintenance and major appliance repair. From an early age into adulthood, Melvin enjoyed fishing. His favorite spots were Lake Draper and Lake Arcadia in Oklahoma.

Melvin will always be remembered for his love of children, his tremendous smile and his work ethic.

Melvin was preceded in death by his mother, Mellie Buncalan Burroughs and is survived by his parents, Gordon and Patty Loveless; children, Jonathon and Jessica Loveless of San Jose, CA, partner, Dawn Fuller; brother, Joshua Hatley and wife Whitney; sisters: Melody Loveless, Theresa Watson & her husband, Lonnie and Asia Burroughs of Kileen, TX; and many extended family members and friends.
