Vondel Smith Mortuary (S. Western Ave) Viewing will be held 5-7:30 pm Friday, May 29th at the funeral home. Services will begin at 11:00 am at the South Colonial Chapel (6934 S. Western Ave). Meng Sengvilay, 74, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away May 25, 2020. He was born to Pia Sengvilay and My Sithideth in Laos. Meng married Somboun Siharath in Laos in 1971 and from their union they raised 4 children together. Meng owned and operated City Mattress in Oklahoma for many years. He enjoyed fishing and traveling back home to Laos to visit relatives. He was a loving husband, proud father and he was a devoted grandfather. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids. Meng was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shia Chanthabandith; brothers, Sia Sengvilay, Sang Sengvilay, and Lay Sengvilay. He leaves behind cherished memories with his wife, Somboun Sengvilay; son, Kevin Sengvilay; daughters, Khengkham Sengvilay, Noy Malone, Sussanne Lapsley; brothers, Lang Sengvilay, of Wichita, KS, Soun Sengvilay, Noun Sengvilay, Nan Sengvilay, and Thai Sengvilay, all of Laos; grandchildren, Kiana Dean, Kayla Dean, Lily Malone, Amelia Malone, Davis Sengvilay, Trinia Lapsley, Isaiah Sengvilay; and great grandchild, Simala Afoa.
