Michael Dale Harber, age 64, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on July 31, 2024. Known affectionately as "Mike" to his friends and "Pops" to his grandchildren, he was a devoted husband, father, and accomplished businessman.
Michael was aptly born in Niceville, Florida, in 1960 to Carmen and Eulene Harber while Carmen served at Eglin Air Force Base. Michael was raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma. There, he distinguished himself in athletics as a proud member of the Midwest City High School Bombers. Michael's passion for sports endured throughout his life, evident in his enthusiastic support for the Oklahoma Sooners and his general love for all sports. His professional endeavors led him to a successful 39-year career in telecommunications and the formation of a prosperous business partnership. Above all, Michael cherished his family deeply.
Michael will be remembered as a larger-than-life man with a larger-than-life family and a larger-than-life heart, and as a staple in the business community throughout the state of Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carmen Dale Harber and Eulene Dihel Harber.
Michael is survived by his wife: Eva Harber of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His brother and sister-in-law: Allen and Shelley Harber of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His six children: Jonathan, James, Jared (Aimee), Kimberly (Lathan), Jacob (Morgan), and Joseph "Joey" Harber, and their mom, Lorrie. His two stepchildren: Jyssica (Eric) Preast and Skyler Cozad. "Pops" was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Luke, Kent, Nora, Abby, Jaycie, Jack, Samuel, Oliver, Waverly, and Ryker.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Memorial contributions may be made by contacting Morrison Floral at 405-789-1622 or visiting morrisonflowers.com.
