Obituary

Michael Dale Hicks, fondly known as Mike to all his family and friends, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 60. The son of Patsy Lee (Kelley) and Everett Turner Hicks, Mike was born on October 25, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While growing up, Mike attended Midwest City Schools and later in 1980 graduated from Midwest City High School where he excelled in football and baseball and met his high school sweetheart. After meeting and falling for his one true love, Mary Suzann Horn, the two were united in marriage on October 3, 1981, at the Free Methodist Church. This union was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Katie and Megan whom he loved with all of his heart. He enjoyed being a father and supporting the girls through all of their endeavors in sports, academics, and hobbies. Early in his career, Mike worked in telemarketing; however, he later found his true passion and calling in helping folks plan ahead and invest in their future through financial advisement and investment planning. He was a true people person and deeply enjoyed working with every client who he helped guide through their financial needs. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed many activities, family outings and all things OU! He was the biggest OU sports fan, especially Sooner Football, Basketball and Softball all of which he followed closely. Mike's biggest love and greatest accomplishment in life was definitely his family, especially his three grandsons who were his greatest joy. They were always his main focal point, and they loved being with their "Pa" more than anyone. Mike enjoyed spending time tinkering in the garage with his grandsons and was always available to sing, play, or just spend quality time with his three boys. Mike was a fun-loving, respected, outgoing, responsible, dependable, helpful, and caring family man who always put the needs of others before himself. He will be deeply missed each and every day, but his legacy will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.

Mike was preceded in death by his:
