A service honoring Mildred will be at 1 PM Saturday, April 4,2026 at the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel, 6934 S. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Mildred Delores (Wall) Wade, 99 of Norman, OK passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026,
The daughter of Art & Lillie (Klingerman) Wall, she was born in Oklahoma City, OK on October 9, 1926.
She started school in Arcadia, Oklahoma while living on the family farm, and after moving back to Oklahoma City, graduated from Classen High School in 1944.
On August 12, 1944, Mildred married Oda Leon Wade- a loving marriage that lasted over 75 years until his death on September 11, 2019. During WW II, she followed him wherever he was stationed as a US Marine, namely, California, North Carolina and New York. They resided in Oklahoma City, Norman, Enid, and Blanchard as Mildred supported his career at Dolese and Hobby Lobby.
Mildred was a marvelous cook, devoted mother and, grandmother, excellent seamstress and fervent worker in her church. She kept up with the latest news and politics, and we enjoyed many lively discussions about both.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and in laws; her beloved husband; daughter, Donna Wade; and granddaughter, Beth Carrier.
She is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” (Frances) Wade; daughter Rebecca “Becky” (Jim) Wyman; four grandchildren, Amy Wade, Brian Wade, Dustin Kusik and Susan (Scott) VanHoose; four great grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Young, Grant Gaines, Kamber Carrier and Logan Schultz; two great great-grandchildren, Parker and Keegan Young; and her brothers, Harold and Artie.
