Diane (McClendon) Nichols, passed away Monday, February 10th, 2025 at home with her family by her side.
Diane was born in Oklahoma City September 4, 1953 to Jimmy Nate and JoAnn (Davis) McClendon. Diane was raised in South OKC. As a young girl she enjoyed going to the lake with her friends and going to ballet. She graduated from U.S Grant High School in 1971 and later attended the University of Oklahoma.
In 1974, Diane began working for Marlin Oil Corporation in Downtown OKC as an administrative assistant. In the mid 70's Diane met the love of her life, Nathan Nichols. The two began dating and their relationship blossomed into true love. Diane and Nathan married on August 25th, 1977, they were blessed with two daughters, Natalie and Courtney. Diane was a loving wife, and mother. She always made sure her family was her top priority and she loved her husband and daughters dearly. Diane and her family attended St Andrews Community Church.
In 1993, Diane began her career with Moore Public Schools as an administrative assistant. She worked in the office at Moore West Jr. High and made countless friends along the way as well as some great memories. Diane retired in 2020, and this made for ample time to spend loving on her grandchildren. She made unforgettable memories with her two daughters and many grandchildren. Diane also enjoyed traveling to Dallas, San Diego, and San Francisco. She absolutely loved shopping, going to the beach, and walking in the neighborhood. She also enjoyed collecting trendy clothing, jewelry, and anything else that she found pretty.
Diane was preceded in death by her:
Parents, to Jimmy Nate and Jo (Davis) Ann McClendon.
Survivors include her:
Husband, Nathan Nichols.
Daughter, Natalie Whilden and husband Cameron
Daughter, Courtney Southard and husband Lee
Grandchildren, Preston, Ryeland, Blake, Peyton, Morgan, Canon, Rowan, Eastan.
