Memorial services will be held at a later date, both in Oklahoma and Colorado. Her final resting place will be in Alamosa, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to "The Stephanie L. Mona Janet Motz was born December 16, 1941 in Alamosa, CO to Edward Arthur & Naomi Iva ( Kenton) Motz. She graduated from Alamosa High School in 1959. Mona received her Bachelor's Degree from Colorado State University & then taught in Port Orford, OR school system. She moved to Kansas City and received her Doctor of Osteopathic medicine from what is now Kansas City University of Medicine and Bio Science in 1971. Mona maintained a family medical practice in Portland Oregon for 15 years before going to Trenton, Michigan where she completed an OB/GYN Surgical Residency. She moved her practice to Oklahoma City and enjoyed her twenty two year practice there. She loved her patients and holds the record of delivering 39 babies in one month. Mona loved her dogs and especially loved raising and racing her thoroughbred horses. Mona was preceded in death by her parents and older brother Marvin Motz of Alamosa, CO. She is survived by brothers, Arthur (Linda) Motz, Boise, ID, Larry (Lynnette) Motz , Anchorage, AK, Paul (Marianne) Motz, Alamosa, CO; sister in law, Mary Motz, Alamosa, CO; companion, Ellie Collier, Norman, OK and her daughter, Laurie Collier, Fayetteville, AR as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
