Naomi Hendrickson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 13, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born November 13, 1932 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Her early years were spent with her mother Bessie ministering in several small towns in Oklahoma. She began playing the piano at age five, and later learned and excelled at playing the organ. All of these years she enjoyed singing in church as a soloist and in choral groups. She completed her high school education in Oklahoma City at Southwestern Bible College where she completed college credits and made many lifelong friends. In the early 1950s, Naomi moved back to Ponca City where she met her husband, Burl D. Hendrickson, and the two wed on February 28, 1955. For many years, she enjoyed working with her husband as the bookkeeper for John Paschal Tile Company. Naomi served her Southern Hills Church of God family faithfully for 40 years as a church organist, vocalist, and Sunday School teacher and was active in missions programs. She also enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, competitive scrabble games, and in recent years Words With Friends with Marylyn and Jennifer. She cherished spending time with her family, loving them and serving them. Naomi's greatest joy and the source of her strength and love was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She trusted Christ and Him alone for her salvation and her joy is now complete as she sees Him face to face.
