Nicholas "Nick" Anthony Richards was born June 17, 1934 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Italian Immigrants, Pasquale and Rose (Pacelli) Richards. He completed this life on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at his home in Oklahoma City at the age of 89.

Nick served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1956. He was proud to serve on the USS Boston, the first guided missile cruiser. In the late 1950's he began his 40+ year career in avionics at the Atlantic City, NJ tech center where he worked on development of airspace navigation systems while also moonlighting as a bartender at the Colton Manor Hotel on the boardwalk. He then transferred to the Pittsburgh International Airport in the 1970's where he supported air traffic navigation systems. He made a permanent move to Oklahoma City in 1981 where he continued as an airways facilities trainer, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Master's degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Patrick Richards and his sister, Frances Cimini.

Nick is survived by his wife of 66 years, Theresa; his daughter, Janice Bodenhoff and her husband, Keith of Oklahoma City; his son, Nicholas Anthony Richards, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Charles Town, WV; his granddaughters, Melanie King and Amanda King; his sister, Nancy Bonk; and his step-grandchildren, Casey Bodenhoff, William Bradshaw, Joseph Bradshaw, Victoria Bradshaw, Meredith Casagrande.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
