LONEY, Nina Kay, of OKC, passed away Mon. Jan. 24, 2011 at Midwest Regional Hospital Center in MWC after complications of colon cancer. Nina was born Oct. 28, 1946 in Arkansas City, KS to Wasco and Erma (Donaldson) Pappan. She grew up in the Arkansas City area and attended local schools. She graduated from Arkansas City H.S. with the 'Class of 1965'. She earned her Bachelor degree in Home Economics from the Univ. of Central OK in Edmond, OK. On May 24, 1968 Nina married her childhood best friend Michael Loney in Arkansas City, KS. The couple made their home in OKC, OK and then later in Midwest City and Del City, OK where they lived until the May 3, 1999 tornado. In 2000 they relocated to SW OKC. In Oct. 1985, Nina began working for the Air Force at Tinker AFB, OK as a Production Controller. Later she transferred to OKC-DISA as a Computer Specialist. She retired in June 2007. Nina was an active member of the OKC Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband Michael of the home; daughter Dawn Smith and husband Jason of Rochester, NY; son Christopher Loney and wife Rochelle of Hoover, AL; three grandchildren, Alexander Thomas


and Cameron Blackstone Loney, Hoover, AL, and Brinlee Gayle Smith of Rochester, NY; as well as her mother, Erma Parsons of Arkansas City, KS. Also surviving are brothers, Jack Pappan and wife Sue, and Donald Pappan and wife Sherry all of Wichita, KS. Also a sister Jeanette Massman of Lacy, WA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. The family wants to especially thank Dr. Tariq Mahmood and his staff: Maria, Claudia, Donna and Deborah for their support during the past years of 2005-2011; and thank you Jesus for saving my soul! Nina was preceded in death by her father and step-father. In lieu of flowers, Nina has requested memorials be made to OKC Trinity Church of the Nazarene and the American Cancer Society. Services are 10:00 AM Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 7301 S. Walker, OKC, OK. Burial will be in Maple City, KS.
