Long-time Oklahoma City resident, Norma Ruth Anderson, died Monday, July 6. She was 82. She was born June 11, 1927 in Waskom, Texas, and married Charles Bruce Anderson in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1944. Norma moved to OkC with her family from Nashville, Tennessee, in 1955 and resided in The Village for many years. She was a member of Village Methodist Church. She reared three children, Ron, Cheryl, and Charles, before beginning a career in insurance with AFLAC, where she worked for 36 years and served as a district sales coordinator. During this time, she won many state and national awards and launched many careers in the business. She retired from AFLAC in the late-'90s, devoting her time to her children and grandchildren and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter, two aunts, and mother, Edith Titsworth. Norma is survived by two sons, Ron and his wife, Helen, of Austin, Texas; Charles and his wife Jana of OKC; five grandchildren, Joel, of Seattle, and April, Jeffrey, Amy and Christopher of OKC; and four great grandchildren, Destinie, Felicite, Cael, and Joshua of OKC. The family sends its loving appreciation to Marcie and Lenore. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, at Vondel Smith Mortuary North Colonial Chapel. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 10 at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
