Norma LaRue Cook

March 19, 1931 – April 22, 2025

Norma LaRue Cook "Cookie", 94, went to be with her Heavenly father on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. She was born March19, 1931 in El Reno, and Oklahoma. Norma was raised by her grandparents in her younger years and then adopted by the Anderson family. She grew up attending schools in El Reno, Oklahoma. On January 3, 1948, she married the love of her life, Leonard Allen Cook and shared more than 64 years of marriage together. This union of marriage was blessed with 4 children. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Norma also worked as a Cafeteria Manager for Oklahoma City Public Schools for 46 years before her retirement in 2006. She returned to the school for several more years as a volunteer. Norma was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was very passionate about fishing, traveling, cooking and dancing, but nothing was as important as being with her family whom she loved with all of her heart. She will be fondly remembered as a kind, loving generous woman. She loved and cared deeply for her family and she will be held close to our hearts each day.

She leaves behind her loving family:

3 Sons; Stephen Cook and his spouse, Denise; Phill Cook and Paul Cook

Daughter, Diane Liles and husband Bernie

7 of Grandchildren;

14 of Great - Grandchildren;

6 Great- Great- Grandchildren and one on the way;

As well as many extended family and loving friends.
