Obituary

Viewing will be held 4:00 - 8:00pm Wednesday, Dec. 13 and Thursday, Dec. 14th at the funeral home (6934 S. Western Ave) Services to honor the life of Norman will be held 10:00am Friday, December 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1:00pm. Norman Kenneth Bagger, Jr. passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017, surrounded by his family after a 5 year battle with cancer. He was 75 years old. He was born in Lansing, Michigan to his parents, Frances (Rattray) and Norman Kenneth Bagger, Sr. After Norman graduated from Plant High School in Tampa, Florida in 1960, he enlisted in the U. S. Coast Guard in April of 1961 and honorably served his country for 22 years, most notably during the Cuban Conflict and automating Eldred Rock Lighthouse in Alaska in 1973. His military career led to him being stationed at many different bases, from Hawaii to Japan. During this time, he married Sandra Warren and enjoyed married life and raising their three children. After retiring from the Coast Guard, he worked for Blake's Machine and Design before becoming a truck driver and traveling with his wife for many years. Norman loved model trains, helicopters, RC boats, and was a member of OKMBA. Norman was a loving husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his: Parents. He is survived by his loving: Wife, Sandra Bagger; Son, William Brassfield and his wife, Shawna; Daughter, Dawn Kirkman and her husband, Todd; Daughter, Melissa Ward and her husband, Stacy; 6 Grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren; Nephew, Rarchar Tortorello; Many other beloved friends and family.
