Norman Battles went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the age of 90. He was born November 18, 1933 in Wilson, Oklahoma to his parents, Walter and Claudia Battles. A resident of Oklahoma City for most of his life, Norman was an active member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. He had a passion and heart for serving the Lord, his family, and his country. Norman spent 20 years in the United States Air Force serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He worked in Intelligence and retired in 1973. He then spent another 20 years in the corporate world and then truly retired. Norman was an avid OU fan, enjoying all the sports, but mostly OU football and OU girls softball. A true Boomer Sooner! He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and serving in the role of the Patriarch.

He was preceded in death by his:

• Wife of 56 years, Marjorie Gayle Battles

• Parents, Walter and Claudia Battles of Wilson, Oklahoma

• Brothers, Bobby Battles of Cleburne, Texas, Charles Battles of Wilson, Oklahoma, and Dennis Battles of Wilson, Oklahoma

• Sisters, Nadine Shearing of Wilson, Oklahoma, and Mava Fisher of Duncan, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his:

• Daughter, Teresa Johnston & husband, Darell of Choctaw, Oklahoma

• Daughter, Donna Massey & husband, Kenneth of Meeker, Oklahoma

• Six Grandchildren

• Eleven Great Grandchildren and one on the way

• One Great Great Grandchild.
