A memorial service to celebrate and honor his life will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the South Lakes Chapel of Vondel Smith & Sons Mortuary at South Lakes, off 119th ST and Interstate 44 (4000 SW 119th Street OKC, OK 73173.)

Norman Dee Walker, fondly known as "Dee" by his family and friends, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 8, 2024 at the age of 89. The son of Eva Mae (Gregg) Walker and Cecil Elmer Walker, Dee was born October 10, 1934 in Carter, Oklahoma. Dee grew up on the family farm near Elk City, OK. Later In 1953, Dee graduated as valedictorian from Merritt High School where he was active in basketball, baseball and held the record for the highest jump in track. He attended a small college in Wichita, Kansas and later the University of Delaware. During high school, Dee met a beautiful young woman by the name of Willene Idola Goodnow and the two became inseparable. Dee married the love of his life, Willene on July 1st, 1956 in Hinton, Oklahoma at the Church of Christ. Together as one, loving, sharing, supporting and caring for each other in everything they did. This marriage was blessed with many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Together, Dee and Willene shared more than 67 years of marriage with unfaltering love, respect and gratitude for each other. In addition to being a loving husband, devoted father, and grandfather, Dee provided for his family through his career at Boeing. During his career, Dee served as a Production Control and Information Technology Manager and retired in 2021 after 68 years of dedicated service. Dee thoroughly enjoyed his career and serving others in his field of expertise. Dee's true happiness in life were his wife, family, and career. He always made the best of the moments he spent with the people he loved. He was known for his selflessness and sense of humor. Dee absolutely loved being outdoors, fishing, golfing and playing sports with all of the kids. Throughout his life endeavors, many activities and worldly travels, Dee remained constant in his devotion to his wife, family, and career. Always remaining faithful, selfless and with a servant's heart. Dee left a tremendous legacy that will continue to live on through each of us and he will forever be held close in our hearts every single day.

He was preceded in death by his:

Parents ~ Cecil Elmer and Eva Mae Walker;

Brother ~ Dwain Walker;

Nephews~ Kerry Wright; Kevin Wright; and Raymond Walker.

He leaves behind his loving family:

Wife of 67 years, Willene (Goodnow) Walker;

Son, Michael Walker and his wife, Carla;

Daughter, Sandee Linot and her husband, Randy;

Son, Patrick Walker and his wife, Barbara;

Son, Trevor Walker-Linot;

Daughter, Nevia Walker;

3 Grandchildren: Kelley Jackson; Kevin Frost, wife Melanie; and Kylee Schild;

5 Great Grandchildren: Lane, Gage, Haylee, Janzen and Jordan.

Extended family and friends:

Gary & Kathy Bollingmo, Stephanie LaRiviere, Matt Kindig, Melissa Prewett, Sandra Wright, Kenton Wright, Kristy (Wright) Nott & husband Peter. Children Ryan, and wife Leah; Parker, Graham, Iris, Forrest, and wife Aida, Ethan, and many other loved ones.
