Obituary

Viewing will be 4-8 PM Thursday, May 25 at the funeral home.

Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 26 at the South Lakes Chapel with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Opal Jaco, 95, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Opal was born October 29, 1927 in Victory, Oklahoma to her parents Cordie (Judd) and Elzie Jaco. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 38 years of dedication. She was also an accomplished and dedicated woodworker. Two of her favorite things to do were playing softball and go bowling. Opal excelled in these sports and earned a spot in the OKC Women's Softball Hall of Fame and the OKC Bowler's Hall of Fame. She served her Lord in many ways and was a member of South Lindsay Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maudie Gramling, Emily Dearing, Dorothy Jeans and Eleanor Minx; brothers, Herman Jaco and Claude Jaco. Opal is survived by her sister Bonnie Merrick; lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, as well as a host of friends and other loved ones.
