Opal (Spears) Locke went to meet the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 87 years of age. She was born on February 1, 1928, to Charles Benny and Barbara Ann (Price) Spears in Foreman, Arkansas. She married James "Jim" Graves Locke of Richmond, Arkansas on October 1, 1950, in Ashdown, Arkansas. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1953. She worked for McCubbin Hosiery Co. for 50 years as Office Manager and Bookkeeper. She also worked for H&R Block for 25 years preparing tax returns. She was a long time member and church treasurer of South Lee United Methodist Church, and for the past 5 months had been attending New Heights Baptist Church. For 9 years she was involved in the Whiz Kids After School Reading Tutoring Program, held at Faith Lutheran Church, for students who attend Lee Elementary School. Opal was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband; Sisters ~ Augustine Gill, Ruby Edwards, and Alcyone Henson; and Brothers, Woodroe Spears and Carl Spears. She is survived by her: Sons ~ Jim Locke and wife, Cindy of McLoud, Oklahoma, and Charles Locke of Moore, Oklahoma; Grandsons ~ Isaac Locke and wife Erica of McLoud, Oklahoma, and Eric Locke and fiancé Alicia Tags of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Granddaughters ~ Lindsey and Jamie Locke of Moore, Oklahoma; Great-grandchildren ~ Adrianne Locke, Tristan Locke, Kayce Williams, Kaylee Williams, and Bryce Williams of McLoud, Oklahoma; Brothers ~ Clarence "Doc" Spears, and Jack Spears; Sister ~Bennie Spears; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
