Orpha Patricia Diamond, fondly known as Pat, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the age of 91. Pat was born on March 9, 1929 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to her parents, Farell and Lucille (Whitlow) Morris. Pat received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois in 1954. On May 11, 1954, Pat married the love of her life, Paul W. Diamond, sharing more than 63 years of making memories and raising their family. Pat worked in the nursing field in Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, and Oklahoma. She had the honor of serving as President of the Kansas State Board of Nursing and working for the joint admission on Accreditation of Healthcare. Pat loved the mountains, reading, and leading Bible studies. She will be remembered for her devotion to the Lord in intercessory prayer by all who knew and loved her. Pat was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband; Daughter, Cheryl L. Diamond-Davis; Daughter, Susan K. Strickland; Daughter-in-law, Nancy Diamond. Pat leaves cherished memories with her: Son, Robert Diamond; Daughter, Beth M. Harper and husband, Randy; Daughter, Nancy C. Brewer and husband, Tim; Sister, Donna Turner of Columbus, Ohio; 10 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; and many friends.
