Services will be 10:00 AM Monday March 5, 2012 at the South Colonial Chapel with interment following at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Born May 31, 1926 in Oklahoma City, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 1, 2012. As a youth he attended the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn with his family where he came to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. He later met, fell in love and on April 14, 1948, married the second love of his life, Mary Elois Freeman. In time they had two daughters, Sherry & Cindy, enhancing this union. He provided for his family by building a career in the Insurance Industry, retiring from two different companies. In 1972 Sherry married Rick Hofmann and moved to the Dallas, TX area. Shortly thereafter two precious daughters were born: Jennifer and Christian. More blessings followed with the birth of great-grandsons: Rhett, age 5; Noel, age 3; and Graham, 2 3/4 years old. In 1977 Cindy married Randy Eckman and started their new life together in Boise, ID, later expanding their family with the blessed additions of sons Preston and Jared and Preston's son Jaelon, 5 years old, to the growing list of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Otha truly loved fishing and the outdoors and fondly called Sherry and Cindy his fishing buddies. Another interest was playing the piano. Coming from a musical family, it was just natural that he played in the Church and spent many hours at home practicing to the enjoyment of the family. He was a devoted son & brother, husband & daddy, grandfather and great-grandfather. The love of his Savior and family defined his life. He showed this in caring for the love of his life in her last days, until he was completely incapable of providing the tender, personal care he thought she deserved. And now he's gone to meet her and walk the streets of gold in their Heavenly Home.
Praise the Lord
