Pamela Maria (Alton) Cummings was born July 30, 1952 in Alice, Texas the daughter of James Murray and Georgia Louise (Willison) Alton. She was grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Calallen High School in 1970. Afterwards she would attend Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. She completed this life on Thursday, January 9, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 72.
Pam married Billy Byron Cummings on January 15, 1976 at Kingsville, Texas. Her marriage to a U.S. Navy sailor would take her on a 30 year journey that would include numerous moves from Texas to Whidbey Island, Washington, to Atsugi, Japan and finally to Oklahoma City. She spent her life as a "Navy Wife" making a home for her family wherever she landed and raising two sons as her husband would be called away all too often. She enjoyed arts and crafts and had a life-long love of the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. She was a loving wife and mother who gave everything of herself and was loved by those she touched.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, James Alton; and her mother and step-father, Georgia and Matthew Wisniewski.
Pam is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bill; her sons, Joshua Cummings and his wife Hiromi of Edmond and Gabriel Cummings of Oklahoma City; one grandchild, Haru; her step-brother, Ross Havard; and her step-sister, Michelle Havard.
A memorial service will be held at a date yet to be determined
