Parker Steven Tate, 48, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ unexpectedly on March 11, 2022. Parker was born to Dr. Michael Hobart "Mike" and Linda Bishop Tate of Oklahoma City.

Parker attended Quail Creek Elementary and Heritage Hall where he played football, basketball and golf. He was in The Heritage Hall Hall of Fame for golf where he led them to the State Runner-up title in 1992. Parker twice posted 18-hole scores of 69 to place him to tie for 4th on the All Time performance list. He was named to the All State golf team in 1992. He went on to play golf at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Though he worked ten years in the oil field, his passion was coaching football, basketball and golf at Heritage Hall.

He is survived by his parents; his daughter, Lily Grace; his son, Jacob Mitchell "Jake" Tate; daughter-in-law, Savannah Hitzeman Tate; the mother of his children, Blake Mitchell Tate; and sister, Reagan Leigh Tate of Dallas; aunts and uncles, Dr. John Dale Bishop and Kay White Bishop; Frances Gilbert Bishop; and Linda Joyce Tate Ralls of Oklahoma City; cousins Darby Tate Ralls (Liz) of Oklahoma City, William Dale "Bazz" Bishop of Missoula, Montana, Zachary Lee "Zac" Bishop (Dee) of Moscow, Idaho, and John Nicholas "Nick" Bishop (Nan) of Arvada, Colorado, and Rio Ralls of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by countless lifelong friends and family from near and far.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Myrtle Beatrice "Bea" Tucker; Norvel Clare "Bill" Bishop, paternal grandparents Dr. Pat and Hobart H. "Hop" Tate; Uncle William Steven "Billy" Bishop, and cousin Darcey Ralls Scott.

Services will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at 2pm, Life Church, 2001 NW 178th, Edmond, OK.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse Crisis in Ukraine, Heritage Hall Athletic Department, or charity of your choice.

He was an avid sports fan for the OSU Cowboys and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Parker will be keeping Heaven on its toes and always laughing.

There will be a reception after the service at the church.
