Obituary

Patricia Ann "Pat" Rooker, 88, surrounded by her family, was welcomed into the arms of her Saviour on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Pat was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma on August 4, 1936 to William Franklin & Nadine (Holdcraft) Jones. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her sister Carolyn.

Pat attended the various church activities depending on where she lived. She also attended many different schools throughout the early years of her life depending on the military station assignments her father was called to during his military career; she lived in the countries of the United States, Japan and Germany.

Pat retired as an Supervisor for the Internal Revenue Service, after serving 22 years. After her federal government service retirement, she worked many years at Martha's Bookkeeping Service. She also worked at the FAA and Tinker AFB.

For many years Pat was an active member of Shartel Church of God, serving in the Sunday School Department, Choir, Women of the Church of God & various other ministries of the church. She especially enjoyed the fellowship of the Joy-Aires Senior Adult Group. After moving in with her daughter in Norman, Pat attended Northeast Baptist Church along with them.

Pat will be remembered as a loving & devoted mother, grandmother, daughter & treasured friend to all those whose lives she touched. She was a dedicated Christian and really enjoyed reading, especially her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Nadine Jones and sister, Carolyn Todd.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Burton Todd.

Three children: Son; Jimmy Rooker & wife Patti & their children Ari Taylor & husband Clint, Spencer Rooker & Jennifer Kirby.

Daughter; Teresa Rhame & husband George & their children Jennifer Coile & her husband Taplie, Brandon Rhame & his wife Katie.

Daughter; Barbara Winton & her husband Glen & their children Beau Bruhwiler & his wife Erica, Sammie Totten & her husband Carson, Tia Winton & Brandon Winton. She has 13 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pat's honor should be made to the ministries of Shartel Church of God, 11600 S. Western Ave. Oklahoma City, OK 73170 or the Generations Fund at Northeast Baptist Church in Norman, 905 E. Rock Creek Road, Norman, OK 73071
