Sheppard
August 26, 1934 – February 10, 2012
Patricia Ann died peacefully in Oklahoma City, surrounded by family and friends on February 10, 2012, following a brief, intense battle with pancreatic cancer. Patricia was born in Oklahoma City to Jesse B. and Mineola Foree, graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1952. She married Lloyd R. Sheppard, Jr. in 1959, and together with their four children enjoyed an assortment of family pets and camping trips to the lake. In 1966, Patricia began working for the computer peripheral division of General Electric, which eventually became Seagate Technology. Patricia retired from Seagate in 1999. Following Lloyd's death from lung cancer in 2001, Patricia began working for Dr. Jennifer Sheppard Rowe, and later became acquainted with Jennifer's recently widowed father, Kenneth D. Sheppard. Patricia and Ken married in 2004, and Patricia joined Ken as an active member of Sooner East Church of Christ. They enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grand-children. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, and brother, L.C. Foree. Patricia is survived by her sister Juanita Rogers of Oklahoma City, daughter Debbie Shephard and husband Bob of Oklahoma City, daughter Sheila Cahlik and husband Bill of Oklahoma City, son, Michael Sheppard and wife, Cindy of Tulsa, daughter, Penny Lowry of Dallas, stepson, Wade Sheppard and wife Nicki of Edmond, stepson, Kenny Reg Sheppard and wife, Anne of San Diego, California, stepdaughter, Tara Turman and husband Richard of Edmond, and stepdaughter, Jennifer Rowe and husband, Michael of Harrah. Patricia is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be both Sunday and Monday from 4-8 PM. Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Sooner East Church of Christ with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
