Patricia "Pat" Yvonne (Davis) Smith was born in Hanna, Oklahoma, on July 21,1940, to Hubert Kertley and Josephine Myrtle Davis as the first of three children. In 1958, Pat graduated from Hanna High School, Hanna, OK. In 1962, Pat earned a degree in education from Northeastern State College, Tahlequah, OK.

Following her graduation, Patricia married the love of her life and best friend Richard Truit Smith on June 1, 1962, in Hanna, Oklahoma. They continued as sweethearts for 62 years until Richard went home to his beloved Lord on January 14, 2025. In gratitude, we remember their marriage as a beautiful example of enduring, deep love to the end. Pat became a Christian as a young lady and loved and followed Jesus all her days. Richard and Pat were committed together in their faith and were members at Sherwood Baptist Church for several decades. In gratitude, we remember the flannelgraph Bible stories Pat taught to little children in Sunday School as she faithfully served. Richard and Pat settled for a while in Hobbs, New Mexico, where she taught school.

In 1964, Richard & Pat welcomed their daughter Sheila. They returned to Oklahoma, and in 1966 they welcomed their daughter Karen.  In gratitude, we remember the beautiful clothing she made for her daughters often sewing late into the night.  In gratitude, we remember the gift of music she gave her daughters by ensuring transportation to hundreds of piano lessons over the years. Pat also taught elementary education at private schools for many years. After working for several years for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation as an administrative secretary, Pat retired in 2002.

In her free time, Pat enjoyed gardening in her flower beds and enriching her landscapes with beauty.  Richard and Pat welcomed and loved ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In gratitude, we remember our parents and grandparents always praying for their family, and we fondly remember grandma's homemade cookies.  Patricia Smith, 85 years old, went home to be with her beloved Lord Jesus on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. With gratitude, we remember her in love.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Truit Smith and parents, Hubert and Josie Davis, and her brother, Leon Davis.

Patricia is survived by her Daughter, Sheila and her husband John Gardner; Daughter, Karen Boydstun; Grandchildren: Krista Taylor & her husband, Kyle Taylor, Alyssa Esslin, John Gardner III & his wife Sadie Gardner, James Gardner, Paul Boydstun, Brandon Boydstun, Jared Boydstun, Justin Boydstun, Jason Boydstun, Andrew Boydstun.  Sweet great-granddaughters: Isla Esslin, Avery Taylor, & Daisy Gardner; Brother, Jimmy Davis and wife Chanenna, and several extended family and many dear friends.
