Patti D. Hummel died in Oklahoma City on October 18, 2011 at the age of 62. She was born on December 11, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana to George Herbert and Ema Lou (Garrison) Dove. Patti obtained a B.A. in Library Science from Louisiana Tech University. She moved to Oklahoma City in December 1984. Patti is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Allen G. Hummel, her son Eric A. Hummel, her sister Peggy Whitehouse and husband Grant of Charlotte, N.C., and her sister Penny Schwich and husband Bill of Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Viewing will be 4 – 8 PM on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary. A funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Vondel L. Smith & Son North Colonial Chapel.
