Patti Lee Sneary Schmook, age 62, passed away in Oklahoma City Sunday, March 1, 2015. Born in Fort Sill, OK, Patti attended school in Enid, OK and graduated Enid High School in 1971. She married Alan Merrell Schmook on July 15, 1972. They settled in Oklahoma City and are active members of Hope Church. Patti loved to sew and stay active outdoors bicycling and snow skiing. As a seamstress, Patti blessed many individuals over the years assisting with wedding gowns, business attire and home décor. Patti is survived by her husband, Alan; sister Peggy Ruopp, (Goffstown, NH); sister Pam Taylor and husband, Monroe (The Woodlands, TX); brother Scott Sneary and wife Jennette (Enid, OK); brother Michael Sneary and wife Suzanne (Newport Coast, CA); brother Montie Sneary and wife Josie (Claremont, CA); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Patti is preceded in death by her parents Max and Ruby Sneary (Enid, OK) and nephew, Steven Sneary (Redlands, CA). The family will be receiving guests from 5 to 7pm on Monday, March 2nd at Vondel L. Smith & Son funeral home (13125 N. MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City). A service of remembrance to celebrate her life is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd at Hope Church (Oklahoma City First Foursquare, 3100 N. Meridian Avenue, Oklahoma City). A graveside service will be at 3pm Tuesday in Enid at Memorial Park Cemetery (6405 Memorial Drive). Through her life, Patti put her faith in the loving hands of God. She believed in His plan and understood better than most that not all of our journeys in life are long. While Alan and the family will miss Patti dearly, they are left with her love, indelible memories of her life and a reminder of God's promise of life everlasting in Him. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their abundant outpouring of prayers, love and care. We will always remember her as a loving spouse, second mom, and big sister. We grieve for our loss, yet rejoice for Patti's life and her homecoming with the Lord.
