Funeral Services for Paula Marie Ashworth will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel, 6934 S. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with interment to follow at 2:30pm at Rose Hill cemetery located at 6001 NW Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118

Paula Marie Ashworth, loving wife, nurturing mother, and compassionate friend went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, while surrounded by her family. She was 72 years old. Paula was born on May 15th, 1953 to Jackie and Rayburn Sapp in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Paula grew up in Oklahoma City with her two brothers Steve and Chuck Sapp. She graduated from US Grant High School, where she also met her husband, John Allen Ashworth.

Paula enjoyed antiquing with her mother. They even opened up their own antique shop for a few years called Collectors Corner located at the corner of NW 16th Street and N. May Ave. One of Paula's favorite things to do was fish for striper at Lake Texoma. She always used to complain that we had to go in too soon because she was still catching fish, but I told her my live well was full and I couldn't hold anymore. Paula also loved music of all kinds and was a member of a music Facebook group.

Paula worked for Trilink Restoration as a clean room supervisor where she cleaned homeowner's merchandise that had been damaged by fire or water. There, she got her nickname "Mary Poppins" because if you needed anything she always had exactly what was needed in her bag.

Paula was loved by all and will be deeply missed each day.
