Pauline Whittemore passed to her eternal home on November 14, 2022. Pauline was born on March 24, 1919, at Rush Springs, OK, to Wirt and Dollie Randolph. She was a member of the Greatest Generation having grown up on a farm during the Great Depression. She attended Acme School and graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1938.
Pauline met Fred Whittemore, a member of the C.C.C. stationed at Rush Springs, and they were married February 20, 1940, at Duncan, OK. They lived in Oklahoma City for a short time and then moved to Enid, OK. Pauline worked at Vance Air Force Base during WWII While Fred was in the Air Force.
After WWII they continued living in Enid and were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Beth. After moving to Oklahoma City in 1960, Pauline was employed at the FAA Aero Center. She was the Registrar of the FAA Academy at the time of her retirement.
Pauline was reared by Christian parents and became a Christian as a teenager. Her Faith in Jesus Christ and her family were the most important things in her life. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest joy was caring for her family and her home. She enjoyed music, singing, sewing, gardening, and reading. She loved God and his Word and had read the Bible through many times.
Pauline and Fred were married 64 years at the time of Fred's death in 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 brothers, Paul, Amos, and Art Randolph, one sister, Lauroma Mosley, a nephew, Glen Mosley, and a niece, Laurabeth Jobe.
Pauline is survived by her daughter Beth (Dennis) Thompson and grandchildren Scott (April) Thompson, Jamie (Sean) Tucker, and Kristi (Vinh) Pham, and 7 great grandchildren, Ryan and Kaili Thompson, Addy, Olivia, and Liam Tucker, and Owen and Myles Pham and a number of nieces and nephews.
Viewing at Vondel Smith on Sunday November 20th from 3 to 5 PM. Service will be held Monday November 21st at 1:30 PM at Putnam City Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Putnam City Baptist Church Building Fund. 11401 North Rockwell, Oklahoma City, OK 73162.
