Peggy Irene Claunch Myers, age 83, of Moore, OK, died Saturday, January 25, 2025, following a short illness.

Peggy was born on June 26, 1941 in Williston, TN, to Frank and Nettie (Bell) Claunch. Peggy met and married the love of her life, Jerry D. Myers, in 1962 in Memphis, TN. Peggy was an avid cook, turning that love into a career, working in school food service for many years. Peggy would often be seen watching college football on Saturdays, specifically the Oklahoma Sooners, during the college season. While she would cheer on other teams, Peggy considered herself an OU superfan. Peggy's main pride and joy was her family. She often bragged about her husband, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to anyone who would listen.

Peggy is survived by her daughters, Darlene Lee (Earl), Anne Myers, and Leah Hansen (Matt), 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brothers, Jimmy Claunch, JC Claunch and Virgie Claunch, sisters, Brenda Dees and Emily Woofter, and many other family members and loved ones.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nettie, her loving husband Jerry, brother Gene Claunch, and sister Ruthie Cotter.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, at1:00PM at Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary, 6934 S. Western Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
