Pete Reininger was born on November 1, 1936 in Fay, OK to George and Gladys Reininger. He passed away in his home on October 19, 2021. Pete lived in several different places including Oklahoma and South Dakota. But Arkansas City, Kansas is where he met the love of his life, his wife of 65 years, Nina Axley. They were married on June 29, 1956, and had three children: Johnny Reininger who was married to Sylvia; Billy Reininger and wife Teresa; and Jeri Daniels and husband Darryl. They were blessed with seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Pete worked as a skilled carpenter with the Union, and was known and loved for his generous nature and sense of humor. He enjoyed taking long walks with his family and reading his Bible (that he always kept with him in his front pocket). Pete will always be remembered for his Dutch rubs and having the most well-groomed (combed) hair in the world.
