Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd, at 12:00 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, 7801 NW Expressway Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73132. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Handbell Choir/Music Ministries at Church of the Servant.

Philip Boone Schumacher was born August 20, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri to Herman and Carmel Boone Schumacher, one of three children. Boone attended Colorado State University majoring in Computer Programming and was later employed by Kerr-McGee Corporation in Oklahoma City for 20+ years as a Computer Programmer. Boone married Kathryn Huser Dickinson in January 1968. They were married 26 years before her passing in November 1994. Boone and Kathryn were long time members of Church of the Servant in Northwest Oklahoma City. He assisted in the audio room and loved singing in the choir. Boone had an active life style. He was an avid cyclist and participated in various races around the country and the OKC area. When he was in his 60's he participated in the "Hotter Than Hell" race in TX. He was also a member of the Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond. He played with "the guys" and with his wife Kathryn for fun, and they also participated in golf tournaments. Boone also enjoyed skiing in Colorado. Boone was a mischievous stepdad who kept everyone on their toes. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Bernice Schumacher of Loveland, Colorado; niece, Terryl Elaine Lillvis of DeBary, Florida; nephew, Alan Joel Schumacher of Loveland Colorado; stepchildren, Linda Dickinson Inks, Jack Dickinson and Miles Dickinson of Edmond and Oklahoma City. He was "Grandpa Boone" to Jason Dickinson, Sara Dickinson Ryan, and Michael Inks. Boone will be missed.
