Phonephet Chansombath went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2011. He was born in Vientiane, Laos on November 6, 1958 to his parents, Thainh and Gert Chansombath. He and his wife moved from Laos to Oklahoma in 1978. Phonephet worked as a salesman for an industrial manufacturing company. He was a member of the Trinity International Baptist Church.

They are survived by their:
Daughter, Maly Chansombat;
Daughter, Kathy Boualapha Chansombath;
Phonephet's sisters: Manh and Thong Chansombath;
Thongdy's brothers: Tony Thongkham and Peter Thongkhamthanome;
Thongdy's sisters: Pany Khounsavath, Dao Inthanousay, and Deane Chansombat.
