Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday February 10, 2015 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church (2727 SW 119) Phyllis Sue Dominguez, a resident of Oklahoma City, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 after battling an illness for several months. She was 71 years old. Phyllis was born on July 6, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents, Clarence and Olga (Edon) Hurst. She was a very talented performing musician for 55 years. She was also an award-winning writer, educator, master gardener, loving wife and mother. Of all her many accomplishments, raising her daughter gave her the most joy and contentment and nothing delighted her more than spending time with her granddaughters and teaching them music. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her: Parents. Phyllis is survived by her loving: Husband of 40 years, Michael Dominguez, of the home; Daughter, Mary Schartung, and her husband, Brent of Plano, Texas; Granddaughters: Vivian and Evelyn Schartung, also of Plano, Texas; Sister, Anne Morris, of Oklahoma City.
