Rae Lynne Ahpeatone- Peeples 1939-2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rae Lynne Ahpeatone-Peeples, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who left this world peacefully on December 31, 2024 at the age of 85.

Rae Lynne was born on October 1, 1939, in Texarkana Arkansas. She was the beloved daughter of Edward and Hazel Canterbury. Rae Lynne grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma where she cultivated her strong values and love for family with an abundance of class! - All which remained with her throughout her life.

Rae Lynne dedicated her life to nurturing her family and pursuing her faith. She was a secretary for many years working for the State of Oklahoma in vocational rehabilitation services. Her dedication and commitment were evident not only in her professional endeavors but also in every aspect of her life.

She married the love of her life, Gerald Spencer Ahpeatone in 1958 and together, they raised four children, and is survived by Andrew Ahpeatone, Lance Ahpeatone, Jamie Ahpeatone and their only daughter Jerrae Wilson. Gerald Ahpeatone passed away in April of 1997. Rae Lynne met Dennis Clifton Peeples and was blessed with a second marriage on May 4, 1998. They shared many happy years together before her departure. Her family was her pride and joy, and she consistently supported and guided them with love and wisdom throughout the years. She was also a loving grandmother and is survived by four grandsons and three granddaughters plus three great grandchildren. Her kindness, generosity, sense of humor, had a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a beacon of her faith and kindness and was dearly loved by many.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service held in the chapel of Crossings Community Church 14600 N Portland Ave Oklahoma City, OK 73134 on January 23rd at 2pm. Rae Lynne will be buried at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.

Her memory will live on through her family and all the beautiful moments she blessed us with. Rae Lynne Ahpeatone-Peeples will be deeply missed and always remembered fondly.
