Viewing & visitation will be held on Saturday from 4-8 PM Sunday from 12-8 PM with the family present to greet friends at the funeral home from 4-6 PM.
Services to celebrate his life will be held at 10 AM on August 21, 2017 at the South Lakes Chapel.
Committal services will follow at 2 PM at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, OK.
Darey, 77, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family following an extended illness on Wednesday August 16, 2017. Born in McLean, Texas on July 24, 1940 to J. A. & Wanda Nell (Ladd) Roberts. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Oklahoma. He graduated from Dibble High School & continued his education & earning a B.S. degree in Accounting from O.C.U. He had served in the Army National Guard 45th Infantry Division.
He began working for the F.B.I. in 1971 as a Special Agent also working as a S.W.A.T. team member & firearms instructor retiring in 1992, following this he began working for the Oklahoma State Attorney General's Office as an investigator in Workers Comp Fraud, later as an investigator for the Ethics Commission retiring in 2012 after 19 years of service. A loving son, dedicated husband, father & grandfather who will be remembered for his generosity & willingness to help those in need. He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Shirley; two sons Randall Darey Roberts, Jr. & wife Julie & their children Jake, Faith, Brock & Maci; Jason Kile Roberts & wife Ashli & their children Shiloh & Jaxon, daughter Tahna Nicole Irvin & husband Jonathan & their children Breyden, Noah & Elijah; his mother Wanda Nell Roberts; two sisters Betty Willis & husband Kenneth & sister Pat Hauck , numerous other family, co-workers & friends whose support was greatly appreciated during his illness.
