Randel "Randy" Lee Hood, 56, passed away on January 15, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19. He was born to John and Betty Hood on August 28, 1964 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Randy grew up in Oklahoma City with his 4 siblings and graduated from Douglass High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's degree. Randy retired from the City of Oklahoma City and was currently working as a cyber security specialist with the Federal Aviation Administration. Randy was known as a big sweet teddy bear with a Sheldon Cooper complex. He was very analytical but once he got to know you, he was the most loving and thoughtful person you had the privilege of knowing. He never forgot or missed a birthday and always gave the best advice. He was spiritually strong, extremely wise, and bossy at times –in the most loving way possible. He had the biggest laugh to match his even bigger heart. Randy was very passionate about music. He loved attending concerts and had a sound system in every room. He also loved to eat, most often when he was being cooked for. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Randel's name to free mom hugs or any LGBTQ+ organization.
He is survived by his:
Partner, Kyle Bennett;
Brother, Larry Hood and wife, Ava;
Sister, Nancy Clay and many nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored.
There is also a host of family, friends, and friends who became family.
He was preceded in death by his:
Parents;
Sister, Patricia Hood;
Brother, Ailen "Cub" Hood.
