Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Thursday February 24, 2022, and 4-8 PM On Friday February 25, 2022 with family greeting friends from 4-6 PM at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday February 26, 2022 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes Chapel.

Rena "Bernice" Reed, 84, entered Heavens gates on February 21, 2022 in Oklahoma City. Bernice was born in Piedmont, Oklahoma to David & Alice Richardson on July 27, 1937. She was raised raised in Deer Creek and graduated in 1955 from Deer Creek High School. After graduation she met Wilton Reed, and the two were married on April 14, 1956. The two established their family in Moore, Oklahoma where they would raise their two boys. Bernice was a dedicated wife and mother, and spent many years working as the accounting manager for Interceramics Tile and Stone. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served in many different ways, but enjoyed work in the kitchen. Cooking and baking were her favorite hobbies, and it pleased others as well! She also enjoyed traveling, but nothing brought her more joy than her children and grandchildren. Her smile, laugh, nurturing touch, and endless love will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; David & Alice Richardson, husband, Wilton Howard Reed who passed on August 25, 1976; sisters; Marcia Kay Richardson & Patricia Rosengrant; and one grandson Chad Allen Reed
She is survived by her two sons Darrell Reed, & Wendell Reed; brother Leroy Richardson; sisters Charlene & husband Ben Sasser, and Lyda & Husband Jim Walker; two Grandchildren Sarese & husband William Kernes, and Justin Reed; three great grandchildren Trinity Kernes, Peyton Davis, & Aspen Kernes. As well as many nieces, nephews, extended family & dear friends.
