IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Lindon
Dixon
January 18, 1951 – January 3, 2026
Richard Lindon was born January 18, 1951 in Duncan, OK to Hugh C., and Eudora Dixon. He was a jack-of-all-trades. During his spare time, he enjoyed unwinding at the lake with family and friends, wood working, tiling, and garage mechanics, anything he could fix. He retired from American Airlines and spent his retirement rebuilding and selling lawn mowers, as well as building and restoring furniture projects.
Richard was a great storyteller and loved to make others laugh with his story "embellishments". His love language was to give to his friends and family. He wanted to be the "best uncle", "best friend" and his way of showing love to his friends, cousins, nephews and nieces was to give from his heart. His friends were very important to him. His door was always open and he would give any help he could to ease any burden. He was fiercely protective of his family. We knew he wouldn't be far behind any threat to our happiness.
He would want to be remembered for being a God fearing man, true to himself and a giving man who respected his God, his country and loved his family deeply. His hero John Wayne once said "I have tried to live my life so that my family would love me and my friends respect me…." and he has surely lived up to and accomplished his life mission.
Richard is preceded in passing by his parents Hugh and Eudora Dixon, brother Hugh Douglas, sister Melody Lavon, and Corliss Dixon.
He is survived by the love of his life and soul mate, Debbie Dixon, daughter Kimberly Ream, son Richard H. Dixon, daughter Melody R. Dixon, six grandchildren, Brittney Taylor, Richard H. Dixon Jr., Brett Dixon and wife Amanda, Alexandra Ream-León and husband Cesar León, Channing Ream, and Crisily Dixon; four great grandchildren, Allison, Maverick, Jake, and Amelia Dixon, along with beloved cousins, nephews, and nieces.
