Obituary

Richard Marshall Glasgow, beloved husband, father and friend passed away December the 28th, 2021. He was born January 17, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Growing up in Oklahoma City, he graduated from NW Classen High School in 1959. He attended Oklahoma University where he pledged Kappa Sigma fraternity. After college, he completed his six-year commitment in the Army with an honorable discharge in 1970 as a First Lieutenant in Field Artillery. That same year, Richard met and married Ruth, the love of his life and they enjoyed over 51 wonderful years together. In 1973, Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Central State University and went on to become a CPA. Richard continued his education graduating from Oklahoma City University in 1989 with his Juris Doctorate and began his career as an attorney with the King Law Firm. Richard retired from the firm after being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. As the Alzheimer's disease progressed, the vicious disease took his brilliant mind and body, robbing his family and friends of his wit and beautiful smile that lit up any room he entered. Richard loved golf, OU football and girls' softball, music and west coast dancing. He also loved his church and Marty Grubbs. He had so many treasured friends. Three of his oldest and dearest friends were Denny Wehba, Freddy Leggett and Gary London. They stood by him through his illness. As best man in Richard and Ruth's wedding, Denny remained their "best" man for over 51 years never forgetting an anniversary. Richard was and always will be the love of Ruth's life.
