Richard "Dick" Ellis Lee, 76, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2012. He was born October 8, 1935 in Winona, MN; he graduated from Mankato State College. Dick married Evonne Marie (Erickson) Lee together they shared more than 56 years of marriage. In 1964 Dick & his family moved to OKC where he began working as the Director of the South Penn YMCA, following this he worked in Banking and Financing for many financial institutions in the local area. Dick always strived to make his community a better place & expand his friendships. He was active locally & nationally in the areas of leadership & development in the Lutheran church. Throughout the years he remained a faithful & steadfast member of Trinity Lutheran Church. An active member & past president of South Oklahoma City Rotary Club, he was a Paul Harris Fellow recipient, he served on the Capitol Hill Main Street Development Board & the COPTA & Metro Transit boards. He was preceded in death by his son, Tom Eric Lee, Oct. 14, 2010. Dick is survived by his loving wife of the home, Evon; son, Todd & wife, Joy; two grandsons, Jacob & Eric; daughter in law Mary Katherine Long; two brothers; Ron & John; three sisters Ramona Scarth; Lori Mickelson & Mary Pressler. He was an avid golfer & enjoyed the company of his golf buddies. Dick's absence leaves a great void in the lives of all who knew him; he will be greatly missed by countless friends & his loving family. We love you "OPA." There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial Services will be held 10 A.M. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5701 S. May Ave, OKC, 73159. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to DSACO, (Downs Syndrome Assoc. of Central Oklahoma), Trinity Lutheran Church or the YMCA.
