Richard "Rich" Allen Swanson was born February 15, 1954 in Sacramento, California the son of Richard Barnes and Barbara Darlene (Williams) Swanson. He completed this life on Friday, December 16, 2022 in Oklahoma City at the age of 68.

Rich retired as a retail sales manager. In recent years he had been involved with Healthy Living Oklahoma City. He and his wife were members of New Covenant Christian Church.

Rich married Cheryl Irene Farriester on June 28, 1997.

Rich is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryl; his step-sons, Charleton Dechert and his wife Sara of Fort Worth, TX and Andrew Dechert of Oklahoma City; his granddaughter, Ava Dechert; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Clifford W. Farriester of Oklahoma City; his sisters, Carolyn Brown and her husband Rick and Stephanie Axtel; his brothers, Mark Swanson, Ron Swanson and his wife Zoi.

Celebration of Life will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 20th at New Covenant Christian Church.
