Rita Louise Holder, born September 8th, 1942, in Oklahoma City to Raymond and Pauline Mollman, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2026—Raymond’s birthday. Rita grew up on the family dairy farm on Southwest 59th Street in Oklahoma City alongside her siblings Benny, Mildred, Marion, and Johnny. Life on the farm instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility, dedication, and love for family that would guide her throughout her life. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s High School in 1960. In 1959, she met the handsome love of her life, Henry. With the blessing of both families, they married on April 15, 1961, beginninga loving partnership that would span more than six decades. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two sons, Victor (1962) and David (1965). Rita began her professional career in administrative roles before becoming the office manager at Sacred Heart Church, where both of her sons attended school. She was also an office manager at Christ the King. Her work at both parishes helped center the family’s life around their Catholic faith and the parish community. After her sons left for college, Rita pursued higher education herself and earned an associate degree in accounting. She later joined Attorney William J. Ross as his administrative assistant and, through dedication and hard work, rose to become Corporate Secretary of the Inasmuch Foundation. Over the course of 20 years, she became a trusted and indispensable member of the organization and a valued colleague to Mr. Ross. Upon her retirement in 2015, the foundation honored her service with special recognition and a generous donation to Mount St. Mary’s High School in her name. Throughout her life, Rita remained deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. She was an active member of Saint James Catholic Church and the Altar Society, always giving generously of her time, treasure, and energy to serve her parish and community. Above all, Rita was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished member of her extended family. She rarely missed life’s important moments—baby showers, baptisms, birthdays, weddings, graduations, and even funerals— always showing her love and support. Known affectionately as “Aunt Rita,” she held a special place in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rita was a wonderful homemaker and an exceptional cook, but perhaps most memorable was her gift for planning. Whether hosting family gatherings, decorating for the seasons, or remembering every birthday and Christmas with a thoughtful card, she had a way of making others feel loved and remembered. Sharp, organized, and always one step ahead, Rita was truly the heart of her family. Her strong faith guided her life, and her family was always her greatest joy and priority. Rita’s kindness, devotion, and steady presence were an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Pauline Mollman, and her brothers Benny and John Mollman and wife Jan. She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 65 years, Henry; her sons Victor Holder and spouse Billie, and David Holder and fiancé Ann Krug; her granddaughters Victoria Rose and Taylor Wren Marie; her sisters Mildred Koeppen and Marion Grellner and husband Joe, sister in-laws Charlotte and Sondra Mollman; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many extended members of the Mollman family across several generations. As Henry lovingly said, “It was a great 65-year run. The pain of grief is temporary, but the joy of heaven is eternal.” We know Rita is already in heaven planning our welcome home celebration. Until we meet again, rest in peace, Rita Louise Holder. The family would like to offer their thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Saint Anthony’s Hospital, especially Dr. Leonard Bowen and his staff. They were very kind in their care for Rita. Thank you also to the countless family and friends who have offered their love and support to Rita and the family.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mount St. Mary’s High School in Rita’s honor and memory. RITA MOLLMAN HOLDER ENDOWMENT FUND AT MOUNT ST. MARY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL2801 S. Shartel Ave Oklahoma City, OK 73109
