Viewing will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday, December 29th with the family present from 5-7pm at Vondel Smith North (13125 N. MacArthur Blvd)
Services to honor his life will be 10:00 AM at the North Colonial Chapel (13125 N. MacArthur Blvd, OKC, OK 73142). A committal service will be held 2:30 PM at Lone Wolf Cemetery in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma.
Robert Lee Chaplin was born on November 5, 1953 in Nashville, TN and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 24, 2021. He was the son of a Methodist preacher and his wife, William H. Chaplin and Laura B. Chaplin. The family moved to many locations in the state of OK. Rob graduated from Alex High School in 1972. He put himself through college while working at the Chickasha Safeway Grocery Store. He was an honor graduate from the University of Science & Arts in Chickasha. While in college he met his future wife, Deniece Riddles and they were married on the 16th of August, 1975. With his faith and determination, along with his winning personality and sense of humor, Robert was very successful in sales and marketing. He won many awards from RK Black, 3M Distributor, and also from Farmers Insurance. Rob was a devoted OU football fan and loved playing golf with his buddies at The Greens Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Kevin; and Deniece's parents, Cloviece and Fern Riddles. He is survived by his wife, Deniece; his sister, Denise Bagley and Fred from Sarasota, FL; his sister-in-law, Betty Chaplin from Hobart, OK; and his cherished nephews and nieces: Chad & Dana, Stephanie & Ondrej, Monica & Brian, Jamie & Nate, and Danielle and Macey along with 8 great nieces and 4 great nephews, and a host of friends and a much loved "fur baby" Princess Maddie Rose.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society in Oklahoma in Robert's honor www.donate3.cancer.org.
