Robert (Bob) Wayne Ewing, age 85, passed away peacefully on the 10th of February 2025, surrounded by family & friends. Bob was born February 26, 1939, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Bob proudly served in the US Navy from 1957-1959. Upon honorable discharge in 1960, he went to work for Boeing in Kansas. He then relocated to Harnischfeger in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1966 - 1976. Bob met Karen Ley in 1972 and was married on May 5, 1973. They spent 51 wonderful years together. In 1976 they moved to California, where he was hired by General Motors as a millwright and worked there for 2½ years. Due to the smog, causing many asthma problems, they moved to Oklahoma. Bob worked at GE and taught welding at Moore/Norman Vo Tech, before taking a job at General Motors in Oklahoma City. Bob was a hard worker for General Motors and many times worked 7-12-hour night shifts in a row. Bob loved tennis, bowling, volleyball, ping pong, and the Green Bay Packers. He could beat any opponent in ping pong, right or left-handed. In 2006, he built his dream shop. His passion was restoring classic cars and hot rods. He enjoyed going to car shows and riding his motorcycles. Bob spent countless hours working on cars for his friends. Bob pulled many shenanigans on his neighbors. When he was in his 1957 Thunderbird he would back up in their driveways and leave 2 wide black tire marks. Bob had the spirit of drag racing. He also loved small chihuahuas; many times, he carried Tia in his coat pocket. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Karen, and their three children: Jeff & wife Clair, Wendy & husband Russell, and Stacy & husband Doug. Grandchildren: Tyler & wife Lauren, Michael, Melanie & husband Zach, Devon & wife Alexis, Brandon; and his sister, Donna Murray. Bob's memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew him. He will be deeply missed.
