GARNER, ROBERT E. "BOB", 52, passed away Dec. 19, 2012. Born in Ada on Feb. 13, 1960, Bob graduated from Stratford H.S., where he played football & basketball. He continued his education at Murray State in Tishomingo, where he played basketball & had also played semi-pro football for the U. S. A. F. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army & the U.S.A.F & was a Gulf War Veteran. He owned & operated Auto Body Concepts for many years. He was preceded in death by his father Jack & daughter Jessie. Survivors include wife Mary, children Katie, Bobby & Ben; his mother Dorthey Thomas; sisters Valerie Madding & Cynthia Pelman.

Bob and Mary were together for over 35 years. Through the ups and downs of life, they remained in love. Although he married a preacher's daughter, he was always quick to correct her Biblical quotes. Bob was known for his grand stature, but goofy personality. He was as generous as anyone ever could be, helping anyone whenever they needed it. He also loved animals, and was known to take home any animal he found, be it dog, cat, frog, turtle or fish. Bob loved his sports, especially football. He had the amazing gift to build or fix anything he put his mind to. To a name a few: he invented his own paint-less dent repair tools, made potato guns and built a tree house,' The Club', equipped with electricity and a zip-line for his boys. Not only was he so talented with his hands, he never lost a game of trivial pursuit. His family was never worried because 'Big Bob' was always there to protect them. They are so thankful to have had him and will forever love his kind soul. Although they know that he wanted to be here with them, they also know, without question, that he is with our Father in Heaven and daughter Jessie.
