Robert Dewey Golightly, lovingly known as "Bob" by his family and friends, passed away on Monday morning, October 12, 2015 at the age of 63. Bob was born October 23, 1951 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to R.E. and Lois Virginia (Hamrick) Golightly. Bob was raised in Texas and graduated from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas. He also attended Texas State University. Bob met the love of his life, Angie Hyatt, on New Year's Eve of '79 and they were married January 2 of 1981 and were blessed with their son Robert in September of 1982. Ten years after the birth of their son Bob and his family relocated from Texas and made Oklahoma City their new home. Bob worked in the oilfield industry since the late 70's and for over 20 years was employed with K.F. Industries as their International Sales Manager. His job sent him around the world and Bob made numerous friends along the way. Due to health reasons, Bob retired about 5 years ago, but missed his job very much. Aside from work, Bob was an avid outdoorsman. He spent much of his free time hunting and fishing and often at his family's farmhouse in east Texas. He was a grill-master and enjoyed cooking up different dishes. Bob was a social butterfly and loved to meet and talk with people. He was also a people pleaser. Bob was humorous, a very generous man, and extremely thoughtful in so many ways. He loved his work and enjoyed all of the traveling and meeting new people, but what was most dear to him was his family. Bob's "baby boy" Robert brought much joy to him throughout his life and his 2 grandchildren were the light of his life these last few years. Bob lived a life full of love and adventure and his memory will live on forever. The family would like to give special thanks to Bob's very special friend, Ray Watson. He visited Bob often and would take him for outings regularly and it meant a lot to him. Bob was preceded in death by his: Parents, R.E. and Lois Golightly. Bob is survived by his loving: Wife of nearly 35 years, Angie Golightly; Son, Robert Golightly and his wife Lindsey; Sister, Lynda McGuffin & husband, Jim; Two wonderful grandchildren, Kynzie (age 9) and Blake (age 1); Mother-in-law, Jewel Hyatt; Brother-in-law, David Hyatt, & son, Adam Hyatt Nephew, Steve and his wife, Elise and their three children, Christine, Sydney, & Cheyenne; Niece, Tracey and her husband, Bill and their two children, Evan & Keeley; As well as countless friends
