Robert Cotter Hope was born October 19, 1938 in Oklahoma City the son of John Charles and

Miriam Janet (Cotter) Hope. He completed this life at his home on October 20, 2023 at the age

of 85.

Robert was raised in Oklahoma City having graduated from Northeast High School in 1956. He

graduated in 1962 from Oklahoma State University School of Architecture. He was a Sigma

Chi at Oklahoma State University. Robert spent many years as an architect at C.H. Guernsey

Co. before finishing out his architecture career in private practice. He designed and built

Warwick Animal Hospital in 1993 where his son R.C. still practices today. Robert will be

dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert married Lucy Madeline Zschiesche on August 8, 1959. She preceded him in death on

March 9, 2022.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Deborah Coursey of Piedmont, OK; his son, Dr. R. C. Hope,

Jr. and his wife D'Anna of Edmond, OK; his grandchildren, Dr. Ryan Coursey and his wife

Amy, Riley Hope and Jack Hope.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, John Charles and Miriam Janet (Cotter) Hope;

his wife, Lucy Zschiesche Hope; and his brother, John C. Hope, Jr..
