Bob left this earthly life on Friday October 30, 2020 with his family near his bedside. Bob was born August 2, 1938 in Gainsville, Texas to Lambert Leroy Johnson and Evangeline Hildegard (Larson) Johnson. Bob's family lived near Thackerville, Oklahoma but the closest hospital was in Gainsville, so Bob was Texas born and Oklahoma raised. He spent much of his youth in the Thackerville area and later his family moved to Oklahoma City. Bob attended OKC public schools and he graduated from Central High School. Bob later attended OCU and graduated with a Bachelor degree in in Geology. In 1955 Bob met the love of his life, Carolyn Ann Stahr, and the two married in El Reno December 29, 1955. They were blessed with two children, Robert and Robyn. Bob and Carolyn loved their little family dearly and made so many great memories together throughout their lives. Bob was a wonderful and faithful husband and the best dad any child could ever ask for. Bob was a great provider for his family. He started his own company, Johnson Building Co. LLC in 1979 and was still active with the company until his passing. Bob made many great friends and pleased countless clients along the way with his construction company. Bob and his son worked alongside each other with the building company and the two also own a pre-owned car dealership in Wheatland, Oklahoma. Bob often transported vehicles for the car lot and he enjoyed the time on the road. Bob and Carolyn owned and raced horses for many years. They travelled all over Oklahoma and to many states in the Southwest U.S. with their horses. When not racing horses they both enjoyed traveling together in general. They took a 3 week trip to Europe, made a monumental vacation to Mt. Rushmore, and also took a breathtaking Alaskan Cruise that was just amazing. Bob and Carolyn loved their family, and especially loved supporting their grand kids. Carolyn went to be with the Lord in 2010 which left Bob in unknown territory. Their family was heartbroken but stayed close to each other and kept their spirits up by forming a renewed and refreshed bond. Family was always important to Bob. He taught that lesson to his children and they were by his side when he needed them the most. That is a legacy to be honored.
Bob was a wonderful man, and to all in that knew his, he is still the greatest.
He will be fondly remembered and never forgotten.
