Robert "Monte" Warcup went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the age of 58. The son of Mildred Sylvia and Richard William Warcup, Sr., Monte was born September 18, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After graduating from Southeast High School in 1973, Monte earned his Physical Education and Accounting degrees from Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, where he played and excelled in college basketball. Monte's #34 basketball jersey was retired in 1985 and was active in the Southwestern Assembly of God Alumni Association. Monte dedicated his life to serving the Lord and others. After earning his Fire Tech Degree from OSU/OKC in 1984, Monte served as a firefighter for the Oklahoma City Fire Department at Station #31. He served 28 years of dedicated service before his retirement. Monte married his sweetheart, Deborah Ann Mills in 1981 and this union of marriage was blessed with 2 children, Tyler and Lauren. Monte was a substitute teacher at Westmoore and Southmoore High Schools and really enjoyed helping the school children as well as his own with work and projects. When Monte wasn't working he enjoyed worshipping at Southpointe Church (formerly Grace Assembly of God) for many years. Monte was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, who will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his: Mother. Monte leave cherished memories with his loving: Wife of 32 years, Deb; Son, Tyler Warcup and his fiancé, Angela Ayling; Daughter, Lauren Frampton and her husband, Ryan; Granddaughter, Anniston Kate Frampton; Father, Richard Warcup, Sr and his wife, Louise; Brother, Richard Warcup, Jr. and his wife, Debbie; Brother, Ron Warcup and his wife, Treva; Sister, Elaine Fry and her husband, Dan; Many other loving family and friends.
