Robert Dean Watson was born August 14, 1937 in Ponca City, OK the son of Robert and

Helen (Rice) Watson. He completed this life on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Oklahoma City at

the age of 84.

Bob was raised in Ponca City where he graduated from high school in 1956. He continued his

education receiving his Bachelors in Petroleum Engineering at Oklahoma State University.

Then his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Industrial Engineering at Oklahoma University.

Bob married Barbara Jean Baum a native of Kaw City. After living in many states for work,

they made their home in Oklahoma City.

Bob had many interest and jobs throughout his lifetime from semi-pro baseball pitcher to

company vice president. The one passion he had though out his life was his interest in

engineering. He was a member of the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers. After

working several jobs as an engineer he teamed up with his son Robert and started B&R

Engineering.

Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean; his sons, Robert Dean Watson, II and his wife

Ginger of Oklahoma City and Brent Wade Watson of Charlottesville, VA.
